Project Leader: Professor Adisa Azapagic
Project Duration: September 2017 - August 2020.
This projects mainly deals with dynamics of seawater intrusion into coastal aquifers. Seawater intrusion (SI) into aquifers has become a serious threat to groundwater resources globally which increases salinity levels in aquifers. The key goal of this project is to extend the physical understanding of the processes controlling seawater intrusion in porous media under a variety of boundary conditions.
The primary contact for this project is Dr Amirhossein Hassani.
